Field Technician – Public Safety Networks

As a member of our field team, you will be responsible for the successful deployment of our microwave and wireless data systems. You are a seasoned professional with at least 3 years of microwave and radio equipment implementation experience. You are innately detail oriented and a natural problem solver motivated by delighting your customers. Spend your time:

  • Assisting with the on-site deployment and troubleshooting of microwave and wireless data systems
  • Performing site and path surveys, troubleshooting transmission lines, CAT5e, CAT6, IP networks and fiber optic cable runs
  • Staging, configuring, and optimizing radio hardware platforms according to details methods and procedures so they perform as expected
  • Working with customers, manufacturers, and internal teams to understand the technical requirements of each project
  • Managing subcontractors during installation to ensure proper deployment and configuration of technical solutions
  • Documenting all work and project status in our CRM to keep everyone in the know

For success you'll need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the implementation of radio and microwave networks
  • Demonstrated experience successfully troubleshooting transmission lines, CAT5e, CAT6 and fiber optic cable runs
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, MS Project and microwave planning software – Cambium, LinkPlanner, AviatCloud or Pathloss
  • Outcome focused, results-oriented with a strong work ethic and pride of ownership
  • Authentic, accountable, and responsive with exceptional personal, written and documentation skills
  • Motivated by doing work you can be proud of and supporting public service
  • Clean driving record and ability to travel up to 30% to customer locations
  • Ability to perform physical activity in the field including lifting up to 75 pounds
